Privacy Policy

Nocofomo is a local events guide for Northern Colorado. This page explains what information we handle when you use nocofomo.com. It is a plain-language summary, not legal advice.

What we collect

You can browse the site without an account. If you choose to sign in, we receive:

• Your name, email address and profile picture from the provider you sign in with (Google, Facebook or X). What a provider shares depends on your settings with them.
• The events and seasons you save as favorites.

Like most web servers, ours may record technical details of each request, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in standard server logs.

How sign-in works

Sign-in is optional and uses the Nextend Social Login plugin. When you choose a provider, you are sent to that provider to approve access. The provider sends back the details above, and we create or match a Nocofomo account for you. We never see or store your password for Google, Facebook or X.

How we use it

We use this information only to run your account: to keep you signed in, show your name and picture, and remember your favorites. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use cookies that WordPress sets to keep you signed in and to complete the sign-in flow. Signing in with a provider may also set cookies from that provider. We do not run advertising on the site. We do not currently use an analytics service.

Third parties

• Google, Facebook and X, if you choose to sign in with them. Their own privacy policies apply to what they collect.
• Fastly, the content delivery network in front of the site, which handles requests to deliver pages and protect the site.
• Google Fonts, which loads the site’s typefaces from Google, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
• Links to Google Maps and to event organizers’ own sites. Those sites have their own policies.

Retention

We keep account information while your account is active. When you ask us to delete it, we remove it within 30 days.

Your choices

You can ask us to show, correct or delete the information we hold about you at any time. To delete your account and data, follow the steps on our data deletion page.

Children

Nocofomo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and its effective date.
